At the 30-node cap, Enterprise gives you 2 more nodes, double the CPU sockets (4 vs. 2), and room to keep scaling — for about the same price.
The discount is marginal, not whole-fleet — each added node is priced a little lower than the one before it, so your average cost per node falls as the fleet grows. The total never falls when you add a node, so the curve never inverts. Multi-year discounts stack on top. Talk to us above 1,000 nodes for a Fleet Agreement.

Questions, answered
What counts as a “node”?
A node is any host you manage with KyriosForge — a physical server or VM running the agent. The containers and workloads on it are unlimited and free; you license the control plane, per managed host.
Do all tiers get all features?
Yes — every feature, every tier, free or paid. RBAC, teams, SSO, Kubernetes, GitOps, image scanning, the full API and client libraries: all of it, on every plan. You pay for scale, never for capabilities.
What’s the Student / Educational tier?
Free — 1 deployment, 5 nodes, full feature set, on one of two paths. A Student (student email or proof of enrollment) gets Home-class hardware — 1 CPU socket, unlimited cores — on a 5-year term that’s non-renewable; reapply fresh when it lapses. An Academic Organization (institutional affiliation) gets Enterprise-class hardware — 4+ sockets, unlimited cores — on a 5-year term that IS renewable, since one org license stands in for a whole department or lab. Both paths are restricted to instructional use — coursework, teaching, supervised academic exercises — not general-purpose research or production infrastructure.
What’s the CPU limit?
1–2 sockets, depending on tier — Home gets 1, Home Plus/Business/Business Plus get 2, Enterprise is uncapped (practically "4+", since real x86 servers rarely exceed 4 sockets — beyond that you’re in rare, specialized big-iron territory like HPE Superdome Flex, not fleet-controller hardware). Cores per socket are unlimited at every tier, including Home — core count stopped being a meaningful gate once high-core-count CPUs (Threadripper, EPYC) became common even in home labs. Unlike the revenue ceiling, this one the software does check: a node with more sockets than your tier licenses goes read-only — view and export keep working, changes don’t — until you’re back in-tier or upgrade. Never a lockout, only that node, and your running workloads are untouched.
Can I use Home for work?
No — Home, Home Plus, and the Student/Educational tier are for personal / non-commercial use only. If you or your organization generate revenue with it, step up to Business. It’s honor-based — we trust you.
What’s the revenue ceiling on Business?
Business is under $10M in annual revenue; Business Plus (which also adds room to scale past 15 nodes) covers up to $50M. Above that, Enterprise fits better. All stated plainly, all honor-based — we’ll never spring it on you.
Can I add nodes beyond a tier’s base count?
Only Business Plus and Enterprise — Home, Home Plus, and Business are fixed at their base node count, no scaling. Both continue node-by-node on the published Scale curve above (Business Plus 15→30, Enterprise 32→1,000+), not fixed packs: every added node costs a little less than the one before it, so your average cost per node falls as the fleet grows, while the total always rises, never falls. Beyond 1,000 nodes it becomes a Fleet Agreement. Outgrow Business’s 15-node cap and the move is up to Business Plus, not a bigger Business.
Can I run more than one deployment?
Only on Enterprise. Every other tier — Home, Home Plus, Business, Business Plus — is capped at one deployment per license, so a multi-site fleet can’t be assembled out of several cheaper licenses instead of paying for the scale it actually is. Enterprise runs any number of deployments, each sized and priced independently off its own Scale curve — a 5-site fleet is 5 licenses at each site’s own node count, not one license covering everything through a single hub. Running several also earns its own discount: the first two are full price, then each additional deployment slides 0% → 20% off by the 50th, stacking with the per-deployment node curve and multi-year pricing.
What happens when my license expires?
Paid plans keep full function through a 7-day grace for renewal-in-flight. After that the console goes read-only — but your workloads keep running, untouched. Nothing is ever held hostage. Renew and you’re back instantly.
Is there a multi-year discount?
Yes. Years 2–3 are 10% off and years 4–5 are 20% off — roughly 2.8× for three years and 4.4× for five.
How does licensing work offline?
The product verifies its license locally and never needs a live connection to our servers — ideal for air-gapped and sovereign deployments; we never see your infrastructure. Getting a license onto it is a one-time, two-step exchange: your account holds your purchased slots, you exchange one installation’s license challenge through this website, then import the activation response into the product. Deactivating releases that slot for reassignment.
What about more than 1,000 nodes?
Above ~1,000 nodes it becomes a Fleet Agreement — a negotiated contract with invoicing, an MSA, and deeper volume breaks. Reach out and we’ll tailor it.
